Ringkasan Cerita Filim Merantau,Banyak Budaya yang masih sangat relevan untuk di gali di Indonesia. Salah satunya ialah Seni Beladiri Pencak Silat.

 Pencak silat di perkirakan masuk ke wilayah Nusantara sekitar era ke 7 Masehi. Pencak silat dalam arti bahasanya mempunyai pengertian sabung dengan memakai tehnik pertahanan diri, pencak silat sendiri berakar dari budaya Melayu.

Merantau

Inilah yang menginspirasi seorang sutradara asal Inggris Gareth Huw Evans untuk mengangkat tema filmnya perihal Pencak Silat yang sebelumnya dia telah pula menciptakan sebuah film Dokumenter perihal Beladiri Pencak Silat. 


Merantau mengisahkan seorang pria asal Minangkabau Sumatera Barat berjulukan Yuda (Iko Uwais), seorang pesilat Harimau yang handal. Di Minangkabau sendiri Merantau, merupakan kewajiban bagi seorang laki-laki. Dalam perantauannya dia akan meninggalkan indah kampung halamannya dan tentu saja keluarganya di sana. Semantara Ibunda (Christine Hakim) dan pamannya Yayan (Donny Alamsyah) harus merelakan kepergian Yuda untuk merantau. 

Jalannya Cerita Filim Merantau

Di tengah perantauannya di Jakarta Yuda bertemu dengan korban Trafficking yaitu 2 orang anak yatim piatu Adit (Yusuf Aulia) dan kakaknya Astri (Sisca Jessica). Organisasi Trafficking ini di kepalai oleh Ratger (Mads Koudal) bersama orang kepercayaannya Luc (Laurent Buson). Hal ini juga di persulit alasannya ialah ada musuh yang lainnya Johni (Alex Abbad), Yuda pernah terluka ketika sabung dengan Johni dan para tukang pukulnya. Semantara Ratger "berserapah", mendapat kembali Astri yang di anggap sebagai "barangnya!".

Kejar-kejaranpun terjadi antara Yuda, Astri dan Adit dengan para preman-preman dan persekutuan para penjahat. Di selingi agresi perkelahian tingkat tinggi menambah adrenalin, Yuda terus berusaha melarikan meraka.

Namun Yuda sadar tidak selamanya mereka harus lari, datang waktunya untuk menghadapi para penjahat tersebut walaupun dari segi kekuatan Yuda kalah besar dari para musuh.

Merantau menyajikan sebuah tontonan yang menegangkan, alasannya ialah di isi dengan perkelahian yang belum pernah di tampilkan dalam film kita sebelumnya, begitu memukau begitu pendapat saya. Di tambah balutan seni beladiri pencak silat yang sebelumnya belum pernah di gunakan dalam film Indonesia, alasannya ialah kebanyakan film laga kita terutama yang terbaru banyak mengambil seni beladiri dari negeri cina. Merantau, Pencak Silat, film Indonesia Nonton Yuk!!!
