Film horor ini telah sukses dalam 3 sekuel sebelumnya, yaitu Final Destination perdana tahun 2000 Bercerita ihwal sekelompok pelajar yang mencoba untuk 'mengakali' kematian. Di awali selamatnya salah satu penumpang pesawat dari kecelakaan alasannya ialah melihat mengambarkan kematian. Bersama temen-temannya ia berusaha memecahkan misteri ini namun justru mereka mati satu-persatu dalam kecelakaan yang misterius. Kemudian di lanjutkan dengan Final Destination 2 (2003) dan Final Destination 3 (2006), mendapat pengelihatan janjkematian dari kamera digital milik Wendy untuk mengetahui cara-cara janjkematian temen-temannya.

Jalannya Cerita Final Destination 4

Tahun 2009 ini kembali hadir menemui kerinduan para peyuka horor, Final Destination 4 : Death Trip hadir kembali, dengan berbalut teknologi 3D yang menunjukkan efek berbeda dalam film ini. Cerita film ini pun masih tidak jauh berbeda dari presekuel sebelumnya, masih berbicara ihwal kematian.

Nick O’Bannon (Bobby Campo), seorang laki-laki yang mempunyai six sense atau indera ke-6. Mendapat "pengelihatan" janjkematian di sirkuit balap pada ketika balapan mobil, ia mendapat sebuah bahaya kalau ia dan teman-temannya tidak segera meninggalkan sirkuit tersebut. Namun Ancaman tidak hingga di situ. Karena janjkematian masih mengintai mereka yang selamat. pengelihatan yang terus-menerus muncul selalu mengikutinya satu-persatu menuju kematian. Sementara Nick pun harus berusaha untuk menemukan cara untuk "mengakali" janjkematian terhadap dirinya sendiri.
