Festival Film Cannes

Festival Film Cannes, adalah Festival yang diadakan pertama kali pada 20 September hingga 5 Oktober 1946 di kota Cannes di Perancis Selatan. Sejak dikala itu ajang bergengsi itu selalu di adakan di bulan Mei.

Palem Emas (palme d’Or) merupakan penghargaan yang di berikan di Cannes untuk film terbaik. Festifal ini di hadiri banyak pemain film terkenal dan juga menjadi ajang terkenal bagi para pengusaha film untuk menjual hasil karyanya dan meluncurkan terbaru kepana penikmat film yang dating dari seluruh dunia.

Ajang bergengsi Cannes Film Festival ke 62 yang di Ketuai Gilles Jacob, Tahun ini di selenggarakan di Paris-Perancis tepatnya pada 13 hingga 24 Mei. Gilles Jacob yang lebih dari tiga dekade menbentuk festifal-festifal film-film pilihan menyampaikan dalam sebuah konfrensi press di paris bahwa ekspo Caness Film Festifal kali ini memokuskan kepada film-film Independen, yang menurutnya inspirasi ihwal film independen telah mati. Yakub berkata : “film-film menyerupai ini di duga tidak mempunyai penonton, sehingga mereka menjadi punah”.

“In 2009, the President Gilles Jacob, the Board of the Festival de Cannes and I want, more than ever, to project the Festival in the future. Following the sixtieth anniversary in 2007, a new cycle has opened on the Croisette.
A natural cycle, primarily, since a new period has commenced which will lead us up to the 70th anniversary in 2017. A symbolic cycle too, since there is a question on all our lips, and in our eyes too: what will the Festival de Cannes be like in ten years time? No one knows – especially us! – and yet, we must anticipate, guess and encourage this future.
